A San Jacinto man lost control of his vehicle before crashing into a ditch at around 6 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 5 on Highway 74 near mile marker 53 between Mountain Center and Valle Vista.

According to California Highway Patrol officer Steve Storm, Alex Janowski, 23, was traveling westbound on Highway 74 when he lost control of his Dodge truck.
Janowski, who was not wearing a seat belt, was transported to Riverside County Regional Medical Center with minor to moderate injuries, officials said.
Authorities suspect alcohol may have been a factor in the crash.
