A police chase involving a 31-year-old gang member carrying methamphetamine in a stolen car ended when the suspect crashed into another vehicle at a Moreno Valley intersection, a police sergeant said today.

Danny Varelas suffered minor injuries and was transported to Riverside County Regional Medical Center, prior to be being booked, said Moreno Valley police Sgt. Brian Holmes.
The occupants in the other vehicle suffered abrasions and were released at the scene, Holmes said.
Holmes said the chase began about 9:20 p.m. in the area of Ironwood Avenue and Hancock Street where Varelas was driving a vehicle reported stolen from Riverside on Jan. 3, he said.
