Four nabbed at DUI checkpoint in Perris

Police in Perris arrested four motorists on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol and impounded four vehicles during an overnight DUI/driver’s license checkpoint, a police sergeant said today.

In addition, 14 drivers who were unlicensed or had suspended licenses were sent to court, one person was arrested on a felony warrant and another person on a misdemeanor warrant during the checkpoint at Perris Boulevard and Commerce Drive, that began at 7 p.m. Saturday and concluded today at 2 a.m, said Perris police Sgt. Danny Lingo.

Police also arrested one person on a felony possession of marijuana and methamphetamine and another person for public drunkenness, Lingo said.
