The contest begins Monday, Jan. 7. All entries must be received by midnight PST on Sunday, February 3, 2013.
Participants must be U.S. residents over the age of 18 to compete.
“The salad recipe entry must be an original recipe created by the person entering the contest and must not have been previously published. The recipe must contain ingredients that are seasonally available, organic and can be sourced locally,” according to a released statement.
Also, think big – the winning salad recipe must be easily multiplied to serve restaurants filled with hungry guests.
Be sure to list all ingredients in exact common U.S. household measurements and include step-by-step preparation instructions.
The Bushfire Grill culinary team will test the submissions and three finalists will be chosen. The final winner will be announced at a luncheon event in February (date to be determined), and final recipes will be evaluated by a panel of judges.
The winner, who must be in attendance to win, will receive a $100 Bushfire Grill gift card and have his/her winning salad featured on the Bushfire Grill menu for a limited time.
