The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in the Inland Empire rose Sunday for the ninth time in 10 days, increasing six-tenths of a cent to $3.625.
The average price in Riverside and San Bernardino counties is 4.7 cents more than one week ago but 7.8 cents less than one month ago and 6.1 cents lower than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The average price fell to its lowest amount in exactly one year, $3.544, on Dec. 27, then rose five consecutive days. It was unchanged on Wednesday, then resumed rising the following day.
It has increased 8.1 cents over the past nine days, including 1.3 cents on Saturday.
