A Coachella man who lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a fence was booked on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said today.
Jorge Garcia, 20, was arrested about 8:20 p.m. Monday at the scene of a wreck on Avenue 52, east of Jackson Street, in the unincorporated area of Coachella, according to a statement from the sheriff’s department.
Garcia was driving east on Avenue 52 when the truck struck a fence on the north side of the road, according to the sheriff’s department. Garcia was arrested at the scene, taken to a hospital, cited and released, sheriff’s Cpl. Angel Ramos said.
