A freeze warning will be in effect from midnight tonight to 8 a.m. Sunday for Riverside County valleys, the National Weather Service announced.
Temperatures will be below freezing tonight in many areas, with lows from 22 to 28 degrees in the coldest valley, according to the National Weather Service.
It will be even colder Saturday night, with a hard freeze likely, with lows from 20 to 26 in the4 coldest valleys.
Elevated terrain and mountain passes may be several degrees warmer.
Sensitive plants and crops may be damaged or killed in unprotected.
The forecast calls for continued cold Sunday and Monday night, but increasing offshore winds will limit the extent of the below freeze temperatures to the wind-sheltered areas.
