A tip about a possible illegal marijuana grow led deputies with the Jurupa Valley’s Special Enforcement Team to serve a search a warrant at 11:15 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 11 in a residential neighborhood in the 4900 block of Rutile St. in Jurupa Valley, officials said today.
According to a Riverside County Sheriff’s Department report, 79 mature marijuana plants were seized, along with 13 pounds of processed marijuana, two firearms, evidence related to sales of marijuana and stolen property.
The estimated street value of this marijuana was estimated to be over $180,000.
Alberto Aguirre, 25, and Francisco Ponce, 53, both Jurupa Valley residents, were arrested and booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center for cultivation of marijuana, possession of marijuana for sales and possession of stolen property.
