Young girl escapes kidnapper in Moreno Valley, suspect at large

A young girl managed to escape the grasp of an attempted kidnapper just after 1 p.m. on Thursday Jan. 11 in Moreno Valley, it was reported today.

The girl was sitting on her bicycle in the 13000 of Wichita Way when a man came up to her and grabbed her.

The victim was able to wiggle out of his grip and the suspect took off running, Sgt. Guimont stated in a Riverside County Sheriff’s press release.

No vehicles were seen at the time of the incident.

The suspect was described as a black male adult in his 20’s or 30’s with a light complexion about 6 feet tall with a medium build. He reportedly had short black hair.

“At the time of the incident he was wearing all red clothing,” Sgt. Guimont added.

Deputies advise parents and children to be aware of their surroundings and to not talk to or accept anything from strangers.
