Earthquake rumbles near Riverside

An earthquake with an estimated 3.3 magnitude struck on the Riverside-San Bernardino line northeast of Riverside today.

The quake was felt in Riverside, Temecula and Hemet, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

Automated seismographs and computers estimated the epicenter to be about 11 miles beneath the earth’s surface, but the raw data has not been reviewed by scientists.
