A Riverside probationer wanted for allegedly sexually battering one elderly woman, and entering the home of another, was arrested, a lieutenant said today.
Charles Ray Polk Jr., 37, was spotted Saturday Jan. walking near La Sierra and Indiana avenues and was detained for questioning. Detectives later confirmed Polk was allegedly connected with two separate crimes in Riverside where elderly women were targeted, Riverside police Lt. Mark Rossi said.
Polk had been wanted for questioning about Thursday’s sexual assault of a 90-year-old Riverside woman at a location on Magnolia Avenue.
Polk was also wanted for questioning in the illegal entry of an 86-year-old woman’s home on Montlake Drive the week before, Rossi said.
Polk remained behind bars today in lieu of $1 million bail.
He was booked for suspicion of misdemeanor sexual battery, two counts of first degree burglary and other alleged crimes, according to online jail records.
