Police: Teen burglars arrested in Palm Desert

A pair of suspected teen burglars have been arrested in connection with a residential burglary that took place at 9:40 p.m. on Tuesday Jan. 8 in Palm Desert, it has been reported.

Deputies responded to a home in the 44600 block of San Benito Circle regarding a burglary and discovered the burglars broke into the home and made off with several electronic items.

A search of the area did not turn up the suspects.

On Thursday Jan. 10 members from the Palm Desert Station Burglary Suppression Unit located two juvenile males that were suspected of committing the burglary.

The teens, both of Palm Desert, admitted they were responsible for the burglary, Sgt. Farwell stated in a sheriff’s report.

The pilfered items were found and returned to the victim.

Sgt. Farwell added the main juvenile responsible for the burglary was booked into Juvenile Hall while the other teen will have criminal charges filed against him.
