Transient jailed after burglarizing Palm Desert store

A burglar broke into a business through the roof just after 6:30 a.m. on Sunday Jan. 13 in the 72600 block of El Paseo in Palm Desert, law enforcement officials have reported.

Upon entering the building the suspect tripped the alarm causing the burglar to shatter the glass front door to escape.

Deputies scoured the area and found Tyler Darrah a 23-year-old transient at a fast food restaurant with items linking him to the crime.

Darrah was arrested for commercial burglary and violation of probation, Sgt. Farwell stated in a Riverside County Sheriff’s press release.
