San Jacinto: Robber roughs up Dollar store employee

An employee of the General Dollar Store in San Jacinto fought off a man who grabbed cash from the cash register, officials reported.

Officers learned that the suspect, described as a white male, entered the store on Sunday Jan. 13 just before 8:30 p.m. in the 700 block of North San Jacinto Avenue.

Once inside the supect took money from the cash drawer. The employee got into a scuffle with the suspect who eventually got away.

Witnesses describe the suspect as approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall, about 20-years-old with blonde hair. He was last seen wearing a black and tan plaid jacket with a grey hood and blue jeans, Sgt. McKinney stated in a sheriff’s report.
