Edward Furlong, best known for his role as John Connor opposite Arnold Schwarzenegger in the movie “Terminator 2: Judgment Day,” was charged today with a misdemeanor count of battery.
The 35-year-old actor pleaded not guilty during his arraignment in Beverly Hills Superior Court. He was due back in court Jan. 25 for a pretrial hearing.
Furlong was arrested about 5:45 a.m. Sunday Jan. 13 by deputies sent to the 1400 block of Laurel Avenue in West Hollywood on a domestic disturbance call, according to the Sheriff’s Department.
Furlong was booked on suspicion of domestic battery, and also was held on a warrant for domestic violence, sheriff’s officials said.
The previous case — filed in December — alleges a misdemeanor count of corporal injury to a spouse, cohabitant or child’s parent involving the same woman last Nov. 21.
Furlong was being held in lieu of $50,000 bail.
