Police are on the lookout for three gun-wielding assailants who robbed a Perris pharmacy just before 9 a.m. on Tuesday Jan. 15 in the 70 block of West Nuevo Road, law enforcement officials reported.
According to Riverside County Sheriff’s deputy Albert Martinez, a suspect wearing a red hat and brandishing a gun entered the pharmacy.
“He jumped over the counter, grabbed the employee and tied him up in the back of the business,” Deputy Martinez said.
During that time two more suspects barged in with garbage bags and began stuffing them with bottles of pills.
A female customer was also taken to the back of the store after she walked in on the robbery in progress, Sgt. Ryan Hoxmeier stated in a sheriff’s report.
The three suspects fled the business with an undisclosed amount of cash and prescription meds, then jumped into a waiting older model tan or gold Buick driven by a female suspect.
The men were described as African-American males wearing masks and hooded sweathshirts. The female accomplice was described as having bright red hair with possible braids.
Anyone with additional information regarding this robbery is urged to contact Investigator Omar Rodriguez at 951-210-1053.
