Lady Eagles down Barstow on the road

The MSJC women’s basketball team picked up a Foothill Conference road win on Wednesday as they defeated Barstow College 76-57.

The Lady Eagles got off to a strong start and were able to build a commanding 41-19 lead at the half.

In the second half MSJC pushed the lead to as much as 33 in the second half with a 68-35 advantage with just over seven minutes to play in the game.

MSJC dominated the glass on the evening out rebounding the Vikings 57-38.

Tina Fantroy and Kerah Natividad led the Lady Eagles in scoring on the night with 19 points a piece while Destiny Melton added 10.

Natividad also pulled in a game high 13 rebounds while Fantroy finished the night with 6 assists.

The victory improved MSJC’s record to 16-1 overall and 3-0 in the Foothill Conference, while Barstow fell to 7-11 overall and 1-3 in the conference.

The Lady Eagles will be back in action Saturday when they travel to San Bernardino Valley for a 1 p.m. game.

MSJC returns home next Wednesday when they host Chaffey at 5 p.m.
