A 24-year-old woman was shot and killed in Laguna Niguel this morning, and her 25-year-old husband told authorities he was the person who shot her, the sheriff’s department reported.

The husband of Johanah Wade called 911 at 1:25 a.m. reporting that he had shot his wife in their home at 30161 Pacific Island Drive, said Jim Amormino of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
Paramedics took the woman to Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo, where she was pronounced dead, Balicki said.
The woman’s name was not immediately released.
Sheriff’s spokesman Jim Amormino said the woman’s husband called 911 and said he shot his wife.
The man was being questioned, and it was not immediately clear if the shooting would be classified as a homicide, he said.
