Wildomar residents looking to have an impact on the planning process in the community are invited to apply for a position with the city’s planning commission.
The planning commission is comprised of five members and serves at the pleasure of the city council.
The two vacancies, which will be appointed by Council Members Bob Cashman and Bridgette Moore, will be voted on by the entire city council.
Planning commissioners make potentially significant time commitments. They learn the requirements associated with the job of planning commissioner and they regularly attend meetings.
Planning commission meetings are held at 6:30 p.m. on the first Wednesday of each month.
Commissioners are paid $75 per meeting attended.
Qualifications for planning commission participation are:
1) Must be a registered voter in Wildomar
2) Must be a resident of Wildomar
3) Must be a resident of Wildomar for the year immediately preceding the inception of his or her term.
4) May not be an employee or officer of Wildomar.
Those interested in applying for the position of planning commissioner can complete the application and supplemental questionnaire, which can be picked up at City Hall, 23873 Clinton Keith Road, Suite 201, Wildomar.

All applications must be turned into the city clerk no later than 5 p.m. on Thursday, January 31, 2013.
