No name has been released today for the woman who apparently jumped to her death from the Colorado Street bridge in Pasadena.
Coroner’s Lt. Larry Dietz would only disclose that the jumper was a woman in her late 20s.
Police were notified of the death about 3:45 p.m. Friday. The woman was found on the east side of the bridge, said Pasadena police Lt. Diego Torres.
She was pronounced dead at the scene, Torres said.
Police could not say how the woman got around suicide barriers, that were installed after dozens of suicides over the decades. The landmark “beaux arts” bridge was built over Arroyo Seco in 1913.
