A man was injured today in a deputy-involved shooting in the southwest Los Angeles area, but it was unclear what led to the gunfire.
No deputies were injured in the shooting, which occurred around 5 a.m. at 98th Street and Harvard Boulevard, according to Deputy Guillermina Saldana of the Sheriff’s Headquarters Bureau.
Paramedics transported the wounded man for hospital treatment, and he was expected to survive, Saldana said.
Deputies were continuing to search the area for one or more suspects who fled the scene, authorities said.
