Man found bleeding in Mead Valley dies, foul play suspected

A homicide investigation is underway after a man found bleeding profusely from a leg wound in Mead Valley has died, it was reported today.

Riverside County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a battery at 7:48 a.m. today in the in the 22000 block of Cajalco Road, in the unincorporated area of Mead Valley, officials said.

“Paramedics had already been summoned to the location and immediately transported the male to the hospital. Deputies secured the location and were notified that the victim succumbed to the injury at the hospital,”  Sgt. Todd Torrenti said.

Investigators from the Riverside Sheriff’s Department Perris Station and Central Homicide Unit have assumed the investigation.

The identification of victim is being withheld pending the notification of his next of kin.
