Representatives from tech industry giants eBay and Google will be among the speakers at a conference next week in Riverside highlighting the next big things in digital marketing.
Sashee Chandran, marketing ambassador for eBay, and her brother, Prakash Chandran, lead designer for enterprise products at Google, will headline the American Marketing Association-Inland Empire’s Digital Media Marketing Conference, set for Jan. 30 at the UC Riverside Extension Center, this year’s sponsor.
The siblings will share insights on the ever-changing e-universe and how to capture users’ attention, according to organizers.
“Unfortunately, a lot of people doing marketing don’t have a complete grasp of how fast things are changing and how and where people are consuming media,” said Daniel Teklai, president of the AMA-IE chapter. “Essentially, every business owner needs to understand and utilize some form of digital marketing.”
Other conference speakers include Kelly Donovan of Donovan Communications, who will discuss expanding the use of LinkedIn for branding purposes, and John McCarthy of iHerb, who will examine the latest developments in search engine optimization, or SRO.
The event begins at noon Jan. 30, UCR Extension, 1200 University Ave.
Admission to the conference is $79 for members of the general public, $49 for full-time students and $65 for AMA members.
