After five years in the same location at the Bel Villaggio shopping center near the Promenade Mall, the Berean Christian Stores of Temecula has closed its doors.
The Berean Christian Store of Temecula closed within the past two weeks, according to employees of other businesses in the center. Berean sold a wide range of Christian products, including books, magazines, DVDs, gifts, bibles, church supplies, music, jewelry, décor, children’s entertainment and educational supplies, among other products.

Callers to the Temecula store hear only a voicemail message that says the store has closed and is relocating, but the message gives no details as to where or when. Callers are directed to the other Berean stores in San Diego, Riverside or Redlands, or to the website, www.berean.com.
The Berean website says there are seven stores in California. The Temecula store does not appear on the website and there is no mention of a new location for a Southwest Riverside County store in the future.

An employee at the Redlands Berean store who declined to give his name said Tuesday the Temecula store’s lease was up and that other local Berean store employees have no idea when or where a Southwest Riverside County store would re-open, or if it would be in Temecula.
Workers at the Berean stores in San Diego and Riverside also said Tuesday they had no information about a new Temecula-area store.
Another longtime restaurant in the same shopping center, Oggi’s Pizza & Brewing Co., closed for business last year.
