Hemet investigators are trying to determine the circumstances surrounding a man who was found mortally injured in Hemet, officials reported today.

Riverside County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call regarding a “man down,” just after 4 p.m. on Tuesday Jan. 22 in the 25000 block of 4th Street in East Hemet.
Deputies noticed the unidentified man suffered traumatic injuries, Sgt. Erickson stated in a sheriff’s report.
The scene was secured and the Riverside County Sheriff’s Central Homicide Unit was called into to assist investigators.
The deceased man’s identity is being withheld until notification of next of kin, Sgt. Erickson added.
