Los Angeles: Girl fight ends in pepper spray attack at high school

A teenage girl used pepper spray on another female student during a fight today at Narbonne High School in Harbor City, and several other people were also exposed to the irritant.

Firefighters and paramedics were sent to the campus at 24300 S. Western Ave. about 10:40 a.m., said Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

According to the preliminary investigation, two girls were fighting when one of the students used pepper spray on the other, said Susie Solano of the Los Angeles Unified School District.

She added several others were also exposed to the irritant.

Reports from the scene indicated that two people, a counselor and a teacher, were to be transported to a medical center for further treatment.
