It may still be winter in Southwest Riverside, but spring is in the air. And with it, the bug for cleaning up, cleaning out and getting to those projects that have been piling up. So, what do you do with that box of old home movie tapes?

Chandler Taylor–founder and CEO of Timeless Memories in Murrieta–has an idea or two for you. A Murrieta resident of over 13 years, Taylor sat down with SWRNN to share his story of Timeless Memories and what his business is all about.
Q: What is your background in the video and video editing business?
A: I have been working in the multimedia field for over 10 years and have owned many multimedia companies that specialize in video production, editing, special effects and audio production.
Q: What inspired you to start Timeless Memories?
A: When I moved to the Temecula/Murrieta area, I saw that many people I came into contact with had all of these old videos and pictures and essentially no way of viewing them. So, from that Timeless Memories was born. We give customers a safe and easy way to preserve their most valued and precious personal memories.
Q: How long have you actually been in the video/slide transfer business?
A: We opened our Murrieta storefront in November, but have been operating in the Murrieta/Temecula area for a little over two years now.
Q: How does your editing program work for a typical client?
A: The way a customer can get started is by visiting our web site or by calling 951-696-3500 to get details of how the process works and what they can expect every step along the way. We strive to keep our customers extremely happy and love answering all of the unique questions they may have about their projects.
Q: Many times old movies are damaged or poorly recorded. What are some inventive ways you’ve solved problems and managed to salvage memories for your clients?
A: Unlike similar companies in the industry, we have a robust process that will slightly increase the quality of the media that’s given to us. Of course, if customers bring in damaged tapes, photos or film there is only so much that can be done to increase the quality. We do the best we can with what we’re given.
Q: What is the most interesting project you’ve had so far?
A: We were contacted by someone who was the sole owner of a 16mm film reel that was originally filmed by CBS. There was unseen footage of some early exploration of the moon. It was an incredible honor to view such rare material.
Q: What is your favorite part of your business and the service that you offer for your clients?
A: My favorite part of Timeless Memories is seeing the reaction of the customer when they get these highly cherished memories back on DVD after many years of being stored away. It is very rewarding and here at Timeless Memories that’s what we love to see.
