A woman leaped from a second-floor balcony at an Anaheim hotel today to escape a man who sexually assaulted her, police said.

The woman called police about 5 a.m. to say she was attacked at the Clarion Anaheim Resort, 616 W. Convention Way, said Anaheim police Sgt. Bob Dunn.
The nearly nude woman, whose name was not released, went to the hotel lobby to report the assault, Dunn said.
The woman was taken to a hospital to be treated for injuries that were not considered life-threatening, Dunn said.
The woman met the man online and they agreed to meet at the hotel, Dunn said.
The suspect is in his late 20s, 5-foot-7 to 6 feet tall, 170 to 180 pounds, with dread-locked hair pulled back, Dunn said.
Anyone with information on the case was asked to call Orange County Crime Stoppers at 855-TIP-OCCS.
