A man apparently broke a leg when he fell into a ravine today near the Santa Ana Riverbed and needed to be rescued by firefighters.
The unidentified man was walking in the 6100 block of Moraga Avenue, in the area of the Jurupa Hills Country Club, where he fell off a bridge, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
How he fell was not immediately clear.
Two engine crews and a truck company, numbering about 11 personnel, were called to the location around 4:20 p.m. to pull the man to safety.
The rescue operation was completed by 6:30 p.m., and the victim was taken to Riverside Community Hospital for treatment.
