Shirtless man perched on rooftop in L.A., sheriff’s surrounding house

A man trying to elude bail bondsmen ran onto the roof of a house in East Los Angeles today and refused to come down, authorities said.

The incident began about 7 a.m. near the 5300 block of Grace Place, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reported.

The standoff was continuing more than two hours later.

Deputies surrounded the single-story house, and placed a ladder against the roof, but the shirtless man remained atop the building.
