Gas prices are climbing in Southwest Riverside

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in the Inland Empire rose 1.1 cents today to $3.711 after decreasing two-tenths of a cent or less for three consecutive days.

The average price in Riverside and San Bernardino counties is 1.2 cents more than one week ago and 16.1 cents higher than one month ago but 1.9 cents less than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price fell two-tenths of a cent on Wednesday and Friday and one-tenth of a cent on Thursday after rising 22 times in the previous 26 days.
