Someone fired off a shotgun blast during a fight in San Jacinto, but deputies were unable to locate a gunman, an injured victim or any of the combatants, a sheriff’s sergeant said today.

Deputies were sent to the 700 block of Minor Street at 10 p.m. Friday to investigate a report that several males were fighting and a shot had been fired, said Riverside County sheriff’s Sgt. Santiago Agcaoili.

They found evidence a shotgun had been used at the scene, but all of the involved parties had fled by the time they arrived, he said.
