For those of you who enjoy the thrill of watching the Super Bowl amongst tons of football fanatics, be it at a sports bar, pub, or restaurant, here are a number of great places that will be hosting special Super Bowl parties:
If you’re in Temecula’s wine country, stop by at Cougar Vineyard & Winery for its 5th annual Super Chili Bowl from 3 to 8 p.m. Italian-style wine, keg beer, competition chili, Mad Mike’s food samples, wings, and an 80-inch big screen TV await you. Cost is $20 for wine club members; $25 for non-members. Adult-only seating is limited and prices increase the day of the event, so get your tickets today!
Those in the desert may want to check out TWENTY6 and Ernie’s Bar & Grill, located at the La Quinta Resort and PGA West, respectively. Starting at 3 p.m., TWENTY6 will offer TV viewing festivities, $5 draft beers, buckets of beer for $20 and special themed food presented until game’s end. Ernie’s will present a full football celebration, complete with team-themed beverages, bar menu items, all-day happy hour pricing on domestic bottled beers and contests and prizes beginning at 3:30 p.m.
Brew-Ligion in Murrieta boasts 12 big screens, over 40 craft brews on tap, a food buffet, raffles and prizes after each quarter and a Super Bow square pool. Every Super Bowl party has to have a square pool, right?
Menifee’s Pitstop Pub Sports Bar & Grill’s Super Bowl party begins at 10 a.m. There will be a tailgate breakfast, drink and food specials all day, then their Open Band Jam begins after the game. And if you like to play pool, this is the pace to be.
Texas Lil’s Mesquite Grill in Temecula’s Old Town is offering their happy hour prices all day, plus quarterly give-a-ways and a food buffet at halftime. Oh, and they’re going to raffle off a flat screen TV!
Stuck at the Promenade Mall in Temecula and need to escape to catch the 3:30 p.m. kickoff? You have choices, my friend. Step into either the Yard House (huge selection of beers, great food and tons of TVs); Lazy Dog Cafe (all-day happy hour prices + dog friendly patio); Lucille’s Smokehouse Bar-B-Que (some of the best BBQ in Temecula); or the Tilted Kilt, a sports fan favorite, as it boasts perhaps the most big screens in the area. And the servers’ outfits aren’t bad either.
The Beer Hunter has two locations — Menifee and La Quinta. Both will offer food and drink specials all day, enough TVs to think you’re watching your own and a list of draft beer almost a mile long.
Speaking of multiple locations, Killarney’s Restaurant & Irish Pub is found in both Temecula and Riverside, offering traditional Irish fare and drink specials all day. Soccer is known to dominate the TVs at these fine pubs, but this coming Sunday, it’s all Super Bowl.
When Spelly’s Pub & Grille boasts “go big or go home,” it’s not only referring to their ample-sized food servings, but their two enormous HDTV screens. Add another 25 TVs, and there is zero sightline obstruction. This is one of Murrieta’s finest.
Award-winning Italian ristorante Rustico will have its first ever Super Bowl Tailgate Party! Just $19.49 gets you an all-you-can-eat “super” buffet, happy hour drink specials and multiple big screens for viewing the big game. Oh, and owner Chef Francesco is a huge 49ers fan.
Brand new, swanky Temecula restaurant Cellarz93 is also getting into the festivities. Besides their bar-area TV screens, their lounge hosts a giant projector screen TV, surrounded by comfortable couches and chairs. It’ll be like watching the game from your own living room.
Enjoy the game, Southwest Riverside! Who are you rooting for?
