A Sacramento murder suspect was arrested today in Cathedral City.
A Palm Springs police detective spotted someone matching the suspect’s description getting into the passenger seat of a vehicle near Ramon and El Cielo roads shortly after noon.
Officers and detectives stopped the vehicle near East Palm Canyon Drive and Perez Road in Cathedral City and arrested the suspect, a minor whose name was withheld, on a murder warrant, Palm Springs police Lt. Mitch Spike said.
Sacramento police detectives had received information that a suspect in a murder investigation was possibly in Palm Springs, Spike said.
Sacramento police couldn’t be immediately reached for information on the case.
