The body of a 59-year-old Palm Desert woman who shot herself was found today on a Palm Desert golf course, coroner’s and sheriff’s officials said.
Someone reported finding the woman, whose name was withheld, around 7:45 a.m. at the Palm Desert Country Club, about 30 feet south of 77029 Utah Circle. Sheriff’s Cpl. Angel Ramos said she used a handgun.
“For some unknown reason, she just decided to commit suicide on the golf course,” he said.
The coroner’s office was working to pinpoint the time of death.
