Cellist Yo-Yo Ma and pianist Kathryn Stott will play before a sellout crowd at the McCallum Theatre in Palm Desert tonight.
All seats for the 8 p.m. concert have been sold, according to the theater’s website.
Ma has won more than 15 Grammys and is artistic director of the Silk Road Project, which promotes the study of cultural, artistic and intellectual traditions along the ancient trade route from the Mediterranean Sea to the Pacific Ocean.
Stott has performed and recorded with Ma for 30 years and has played with musicians and groups around the world.
She is a visiting professor in her home country at the Royal Academy of Music in London.
