Multi-car wreck kills one and injures two in Blythe

One person died in a three-vehicle crash in Blythe today.

The collision was reported at 5:20 a.m. on westbound Interstate 10, west of Wileys Well Road.

Another person was airlifted to an area hospital with moderate injuries, and a third person refused treatment at the scene, Riverside County Fire Department spokeswoman Melody Hendrickson said.

The cause of the crash was under investigation.
