Menifee man arrested on suspicion of mail fraud, second suspect at large

Stolen property, documents, credit cards and fraud-related materials were uncovered during a search warrant at a Menifee home, law enforcement officials have reported.

Investigators investigating mail theft and fraud arrived at about 3:30 p.m., on Tuesday Feb. 5 to a residence in the 28600 block of Quail Place in Menifee to serve a search warrant.

Shawn Ethan Bannister, 39, of Menifee was arrested and booked into the Southwest Detention Center on charges of forgery, fraud, burglary, theft and conspiracy, Sgt. Williams stated in a sheriff’s report.

Kelsey Douglas, 33, of Menifee has been identified as a second suspect of this crime and authorities are actively looking for her.
