Officers responding to a loud burglar alarm arrived just before 1 a.m., on Friday Feb. 1 at the Louis Vuitton store in the 73500 block of El Paseo.

Investigators learned two suspects stole merchandise after smashing the windows of the store front and then fled the scene.

Later that morning alert officers noticed a car that fit the description of the suspect vehicle, Sgt. Smith stated in a Riverside County Sheriff’s report.

When officers stopped the car, the driver took off running. La Verne resident 30-year-old Hollian Hannah was arrested after a foot chase and booked into the Indio Jail on charges of possession of a stolen vehicle.

Further investigations revealed Hannah was one of the suspects involved in the Louis Vuitton smash and grab robbery, Sgt. Smith added.

Hannah was also charged with commercial burglary.

The second suspected thief remains at large, according to a sheriff’s report.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department at 760-836-1600 or Crime Stoppers at 760-341-7867.
