A routine traffic stop has lead to the arrest of three San Jacinto residents on suspicion of committing a rash of thefts at local AM/PM stores, officials reported.
Officers stopped the suspect vehicle just before 3 p.m., Tuesday Feb. 5 on Menlo Avenue in San Jacinto. During the stop, the officer realized the car fit the description of a vehicle being used in numerous thefts over the past several months.
“The total loss of the thefts is estimated at approximately $20,000,” Sgt. Rose McKinney stated in a Riverside County Sheriff’s press release.
San Jacinto residents Paul Kadella, 27, Daniel Burns, 22 and 26-year-old Danielle Schmitz were all arrested and booked into the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility on charges of burglary, possession of stolen property and theft under false pretenses.
Anyone with further details regarding this ongoing investigation is urged to contact the San Jacinto Police Department at 951-654-2702.
