San Jacinto: Battle over a bottle of booze ends in stabbing

A man was stabbed by his girlfriend after they argued over a bottle of vodka, officials reported.

San Jacinto Police officers arrived just before 10 p.m., on Wednesday Feb. 6 to the 300 block of State Street in San Jacinto regarding an assault call.

Initial investigations learned the victim and his live-in girlfriend, 53-year-old Lori Ann Hoffman began fighting over a bottle of vodka.

Hoffman then grabbed a sharp object and stabbed her boyfriend.

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Sgt. Agcaoili stated in a Riverside County Sheriff’s press release.

Hoffman was arrested and booked into the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility on charges of spousal abuse and assault with a deadly weapon.
