A fire broke out today in a Moreno Valley home, damaging the upper floor of the residence before crews could get the flames under control.
The blaze was reported about 2:25 p.m. in the 13400 block of Harewood Drive, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
Seventeen people from four engine crews and a ladder company were sent to the fire that started on the second floor of the two-story residence, a fire department spokeswoman said.
She said crews contained the flames within 20 minutes, preventing damage to the rest of the property.
No injuries were reported.
It wasn’t immediately clear whether the house was occupied.
