A Perris man was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver in Perris, it’s been reported today.
The incident occurred at approximately 10:40 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 7 in the 2600 block of Redlands, just south of Placentia.
According to a Riverside County Sheriff’s Department report, Eric Hernandez, 18, was riding his skateboard on northbound Redlands when he was struck by a vehicle described as a white, gray or black truck.
The Perris Sheriff’s Station Traffic Reconstruction Team responded and assumed the investigation.
“The driver failed to stop and render aid after the collision occurred and has not been identified. The truck will have damage to the front grill and possibly right front fender,” said Sgt. Danny Lingo in the report.
