Sheriff’s deputies arrested a Lake Elsinore man during a domestic violence call but found weapons and jars of marijuana in his house, a sergeant said today.
Deputies went to a home in 18000 block of Dexter Avenue in Lake Elsinore after receiving a call at 8 p.m. Friday about a man who allegedly assaulted his wife.
Antonio Garcia Gonzalez, 53, was suspected of abusing his wife and was arrested, Riverside County sheriff’s Sgt. David Cardoza said.
While in the home, deputies discovered five weapons and jars of marijuana.
Digital scales, paraphernalia and $700 cash were also uncovered, Cardoza said.
Gonzalez was booked for suspicion of possession of marijuana for sale and infliction of corporal injury on a spouse, according to online jail records.
He remained behind bars today in lieu of $50,000 bail.
