Man struck and killed by big rig in Indio

A pedestrian was struck by a big rig and killed on the eastbound 10 Freeway in Indio, authorities said today.

The 25-year-old man died at the scene of his injury, which occurred about 9:10 p.m., Sunday Feb. 10 near Golf Center Parkway, according to the Riverside County Coroner’s Bureau.

The man’s name was withheld, pending notification of his relatives.

The California Highway Patrol was investigating the death.
