An Indio meat market was robbed at gunpoint today, but no one was hurt, a police spokesman said.
The robbery was reported around 11:45 a.m. at Guerrero’s Meat Market in the 81500 block of Highway 111.
A man pointed a handgun at a clerk, demanded money and ran off with an undisclosed amount of cash, Indio Police Department spokesman Ben Guitron said.

The suspect was described as Hispanic, about 5 feet 10 inches tall and 290 pounds, with light skin, brown hair, a beard and mustache.
He wa swearing a black baseball hat with an “LA” logo on the front, sunglasses, a black hooded sweatshirt and black pants.
