CHP: One killed in early morning crash in Riverside

Someone was killed this morning in a single-vehicle crash in Riverside, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash was reported around 4:20 a.m. at the intersection of Pierce Street and Riverwalk Parkway near the campus of La Sierra University, according to the CHP’s Traffic Incident Information Page.

The wreck involved a pickup truck that hit a tree, according to ABC7, which broadcast overhead video from the scene.
