Search continues for man who robbed Indian Wells bank

Indian Wells police are still searching for a man they say entered a bank, brandished a gun and demanded money from the teller, it was learned today.

The incident occurred at about 11:46 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 5 at the Pacific Western Bank located at 74750 Hwy 111 in Indian Wells.

The suspect – described as a white male, about 6-feet-1, 220 pounds with acne marks and facial hair – got away with an undisclosed amount of cash, according to a Riverside County Sheriff’s Department report.

The man fled on foot, heading northbound from the bank, wearing a dark shirt, dark-colored pants and white shoes, officials said.

No one was injured during the incident.
