Women Wonder Writers is set to bring The Authentic Self — a youth art exhibit — to Riverside Community Arts Association starting Valentine’s Day, it was recently announced.
The Authentic Self is made up of introspective visual arts created by Women Wonder Writers in collaboration with Riverside Artist Judi Randolph.
The exhibit will also feature Making of the Girl, youth story board collages addressing sex trafficking, drugs, bullying and child abuse — all created by Women Wonder Writers.
Women Wonder Writers (WWW) is a mentorship and life skills organization reaching “at-risk” youth and young adults, ages 12-22 years old, throughout Riverside County who are affected by gang violence, drugs, abuse, broken homes, sex-trafficking, the criminal justice system or are underachieving academically.
The youth art exhibit will open with a reception from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Feb. 14 from and run through March 16.
A Riverside Arts Walk reception will take place from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on March 7.
Both receptions will be held at Riverside Community Arts Association at 3870 Lemon Street in Riverside.
