Brush blaze in Santa Clarita causes lane closures on the 14 Freeway

A roughly 1-acre brush fire in Santa Clarita prompted the California Highway Patrol to close two northbound lanes of the Antelope Valley (14) Freeway today.

The fire was reported north of Sand Canyon Road shortly after 1 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.

County firefighters were working to extinguish the flames.
